Who Are We?

The Alumni Association is comprised of anyone who has ever experienced a Parker education. While each person's journey is unique, those who learn in our classrooms all share the common bond of being members of the Parker community. Through events, volunteer opportunities and more, the Alumni Association strives to engage with alumni of all generations to both acknowledge where Parker has been and look forward to the future of what can be. Give back by getting involved with the Alumni Association!

Alumni Association Board Committees

The Alumni Association Board committees are dedicated to helping connect Colonels with each other and to the school. They work closely with Parker’s Alumni and Development Office in making the alumni experience positive and inclusive for all Parker alumni. The Parker community is remarkable, and your involvement makes us even better. As alumni of the school, you are part of the rich history. Our goal is to keep all of you connected to the institution throughout your lifetimes.

From event planning to mentorship opportunities, being part of a committee is an excellent way to get involved and give back to Parker. Learn more about the different committees below. If you would like to share your time and/or talent, please fill out the Committee Interest Form or email alumni@fwparker.org.

List of 6 items.

  • Alumni Giving

The Alumni Giving Committee raises financial support for Parker through alumni outreach. Committee members can be involved in a number of ways, including signing appeal letters, calling classmates, introducing Development staff to members of the alumni community and potential donors, or raising awareness about the Parker Fund.

  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

The Alumni Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee welcomes all Parker alumni interested in DEIB issues, seeks to build a support system for students of color and their parents and galvanizes the alumni network around the unique challenges that impact the Parker community.
  • Events

The Alumni Events Committee plans various events throughout the year welcoming all Parker alumni. Past events have included speakers, group outings throughout the Chicagoland area, virtual gatherings, cocktail parties, etc. The underlying motivation is to gather alumni of all years to be engaged and connect with the school and with one another.
  • Governance

The Alumni Governance Committee actively seeks and engages volunteers to serve on Alumni Board committees, the Executive Committee and the school’s Board of Trustees.
The committee works to identify and develop future alumni leaders with a goal to establish a diverse and inclusive volunteer pipeline.
  • Marketing

The Alumni Marketing Committee focuses its efforts on strategically identifying ways to reach out to Parker alumni, with the goal of making meaningful and lasting connections. The strategy is twofold: engaging alumni to participate in FWP community events, both in and out of the school, as well as raising money for the Parker Fund.
The committee is looking for individuals interested in developing creative marketing campaigns to increase Parker alumni interest in reengaging with the school community.

  • Mentorship

The Alumni Mentorship Committee focuses on Career Day, mentoring and internships. This committee encourages the use of FWParker Connect to connect with every generation of alumni and supports mentorship efforts for both alumni and current students.
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
