Athletics Kicks Off Fall Season with Coaches Meeting
New Director of Athletics Nick Kocsis began the fall season with an interactive, thought-provoking meeting with Middle and Upper School coaches. During the summer, coaches from all fall sports gathered to prepare for the upcoming season through different activities that encouraged them to consider their reasons for coaching, understand the impact they hope to have on student-athletes and remember the important role of athletics in the school’s mission.
The gathering was a unique opportunity for Middle and Upper School coaches to interact within and across sports, nurture camaraderie and build connections. The Athletics Department also used this meeting to introduce its new athletics-specific mission, which is available here and posted throughout the school, specifically near the field and outside the gyms.
The fall season is currently underway, and the school invites everyone to support Parker Colonels at one of their upcoming events. The athletics schedule is available here. Parker hopes to see everyone at Homecoming on Saturday, September 21, when most teams will compete at home.
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
