We are excited to announce that after an extensive national search involving 68 completed applicants, eight semifinalists and four finalists, Traveres “Tray” White will return to Parker as our new Head of Intermediate and Middle Schools starting Tuesday, July 1.
White, who has an M.Ed. in Counseling and a BA in history, is a dedicated progressive educator of students in 4th–8th grades who brings more than 15 years of experience in administrative leadership, student counseling, classroom teaching and athletic coaching in both independent and parochial schools. Since his prior time at Parker as our Intermediate and Middle School Dean of Student Life, White has been the Assistant Principal and Dean for the Middle School (grades 5–8) at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC and is currently the Director of the Middle School (grades 5–8) at Latin School of Chicago. Earlier in his career, he was the Middle School Counselor, Academic Services Coordinator and student advisor who taught History and Physical Education at Augusta Preparatory School in Georgia.
With appreciation for the search committee members and all who participated in this search process, please join me in thanking Vahn Phayprasert for his leadership and welcoming White back to Parker to join with others in leading our school forward.
