Field Hockey Athlete Among Top 100 in Nation

Sonia Pettinelli was recognized as one of the top field hockey players in the nation in the class of 2027.

Sophomore midfielder Pettinelli has proven to be a field hockey force to be reckoned with and has been included in MAX Field Hockey’s Class of 2027 Next 50 Player Rankings.

In addition to playing for Windy City Field Hockey, she has been a starter on Parker’s Varsity Field Hockey team since her freshman year and ended this season named to the Illinois All Conference team, 1st team of the All-League ISL and ranked as the 9th player overall in the state.

Reflecting upon Pettinelli’s performance, coach Misha Geller shared, ““Sonia is an incredible athlete who I’ve had the absolute pleasure of coaching since her early Middle School days. Her skills and her athleticism are outstanding, and Parker is lucky to have her as a member of our team. The sky is the limit for Sonia.”
