Middle School Student Council Hosts Town Hall with Dr. Frank

By 8th Grade Teachers Marcie Frasz and Stephanie Nishimoto-Lorenzo
On Thursday, March 13, the Middle School Student Council welcomed Dr. Frank for a dynamic town hall meeting, where students engaged in open dialogue with the administration. Arriving ready to tackle a range of topics, Dr. Frank provided valuable insights into the school’s decision-making process.

The discussion covered both broad and practical concerns, from the ways the school’s democratic values function within a capitalist framework to strategies for increasing student engagement in Middle School. Dr. Frank emphasized the importance of student voices in shaping the school community and expressed his strong support for the council’s efforts.

In closing, he encouraged the Student Council to continue approaching challenges with curiosity, creativity and a commitment to making a meaningful impact. The council looks forward to further collaboration with the administration and more opportunities for student-led discussions in the future.
