The number 100 is a big one, and Lower School students in SK-Lackman recently recognized their 100th day of school in creative and fun ways.
“All the students in SKL chose which activities they wanted to participate in for the 100th day of school celebration,” SK teacher Margaret Lackman explained. “They could do one or all! Students practiced counting in groups of 10 to complete their necklaces, worked on fine-motor activities like dabbing markers, Q-tip painting and making 100-sticker collections. Students used materials that aren't used for everyday activities and were very excited to do so!”
Celebrating 100 days at Parker and reinforcing this concept gives these young minds a chance to truly understand what the number represents. And even better, as Lackman shared, “We had a lot of fun choosing, playing and celebrating throughout the day!”
