Senior Kindergarteners learned about cities and the different systems in cities that are necessary for people to live happy, healthy and safe lives. Students learned about different parts and systems by reading books, doing research, looking at pictures and exploring virtual reality to learn more about the city they live in and the important parts of cities.
The SKers started with research and information-gathering about a different part of the city and added details to the SK City bulletin board in the Kovler Family Library’s Story Studio. Then, they engaged in a building and making project that connected to each system. With each one, students learned more about the importance of these systems to a healthy city and how they are connected.
