While the temperatures may be dropping, the Colonels have been heating up!
First, the Golf team recently traveled to the State Tournament for the first time in the school’s history. On the women’s team, freshman Annabelle Kutcher finished in 38th place and was the 3rd best freshman overall. The men’s team got cut on the first day senior Myles Ankin placed 76th, junior Logan Gupta placing 50th and junior Max Satterfield placing 5th. Satterfield received the honors of all-state first team, and Gupta made the third team.
Next, the varsity Volleyball team won their regional semifinal in two straight sets against Holy Trinity, propelling them to the Regional Championship game against Latin. The team unfortunately lost to Latin but showed hard work and determination throughout the season.
Varsity Boys Soccer also proved their grit this season with a tremendous showing that resulted in victory in the Class 1A Regional Semifinals against Rickover Naval Academy before a heartbreaking loss in the Regional Final.
