Chess Achieves Success in Season Opener
The Chess team had a strong showing at the conference’s season-opening Chicago Chess Conference Blitz Tournament at De La Salle.
Junior Darius Cleaver placed first in a large field of nearly 80 students, senior Shalen Chawla placed seventh, and freshman Isaiah Jakobe placed 20th in his first competitive event.
Parker can’t wait to see more from this team as they develop their skills throughout the season.
