Students Present at Lincoln Park Zoo

By Science teacher Bridget Lesinski
Students in my Biology 1-Advanced course have been working closely with the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Urban Wildlife Institute during the school year.

As a culminating project, students developed research questions and tried to answer them using real data they collected with the help of other Chicago-area schools. Two groups were selected to present their research at the PIF Expo on Wednesday, May 22 at the zoo’s lion house. Freshmen Ayan Chawla and Sam Goldblatt presented their project on Temperature Anomalies and Mammals and freshmen Mara Rodgon and Miriam Johnson presented their work on the Effect of Air Quality on Birds in Chicago.

Congratulations to all participants!

Here are some pictures and other projects that students created.
