Student Dances in Sold-Out Performance

Third grade student Nora Thompson’s passion for dance took center stage in a recent performance.

Thompson has studied dance with Bronzeville’s Praize Productions since she was five years old. Praize Productions is committed to elevating Black women and girls through dance, arts, wellness and education.

Two years ago, she and the company performed at Gospel Fest, and Praize’s spring performance has taken place at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts on the University of Chicago campus for the past two years.

This year’s show, Complexions, occurred this past weekend, and Thompson was one of the students performing alongside the adult company to a sold-out audience.

Congratulations to Thompson on this personal accomplishment; all can enjoy a few clips from the show here.
