Senior Celebrates 1,000-Point Career Milestone
Senior Varsity Basketball Captain Miles Johnson had a tremendous achievement this season when he surpassed the 1,000-point Career Scoring mark!
Head Coach Jarrick McGee shared some highlights of Johnson’s season:
- He had eight 20+-point-scoring games this season to lead the team.
- He scored 30 points against Latin at DePaul and 24 points against Latin at UIC.
- He scored 33 points against Beacon this season.
- He led the team in total scoring this season, averaging 15.8 points per game.
Coach McGee shared, “Scoring 1,000 points in high school basketball is a significant achievement that demonstrates a player’s skills, dedication to team and consistency. It’s a rare accomplishment to score 1,000 points in HS throughout the four years. It’s a coveted milestone that places a player in the history of a school’s sport. When athletes achieve these milestones, it symbolizes a player’s consistency and hard work during the period of time.”
