Senior Discusses the Power of Reframing at Morning Ex
Senior Maya Khare used a recent Morning Ex to share her discovery of life coaching and learning to reframe struggle and failure into a more positive way of thinking. Khare spoke candidly about her own personal struggles and her inspiration to help others discover the silver lining of all situations.
After seeing her daughter grapple with a new school and schedule in her freshman year, Khare’s mom encouraged her to attend “Unleash the Power Within,” a four-day immersive event led by motivational speaker Tony Robbins that encourages participants to discover their personal power and break through limitations. Khare returned empowered to break unhealthy beliefs and set meaningful goals. She learned how to redefine labels and reframe her perceptions to focus on a better emotional response.
Khare illustrated her discoveries by having students reframe their experience at the Morning Ex. She asked the audience slump in their seats and act uninterested, then quickly had everyone jump for joy and high-five the people around them. It was a demonstration of just how quickly one can turn their mood around and reframe their energy.
Khare took her journey one step further and became a certified life coach. As the first 16-year-old to finish the program through The Neuroencoding Institute, she discussed trying to reach other teens who may also be struggling and help them through pointed questions and goal-setting.
Khare’s presentation is a great example of Parker students pursuing their passions, discovering new outlets and using their voices to share their experiences with the community.
