Community Builds Through Choir

Student and adult vocalists from Parker’s extracurricular music groups recently shared their talents.

Prior to a formal performance that evening, Music Department Chair and teacher Rob Denien coordinated a dress rehearsal featuring singers who participate in optional singing groups within the school to help connect everyone with song.

Featuring 2nd–5th grade singers in the Colonel Choir, 6th–8th grade vocalists in Amplify and employees, parents/guardians and alumni in Encore, the assembly included performances and discussion about how participating in a choir builds a sense of belonging within the choir’s members and in the larger school community.
