Student-Athlete of the Week

It was another successful week for Parker sports and there are more milestones on the horizon. Last Friday, the Boys Varsity team defeated Latin 85-66, winning the Blue Out and sweeping the Clark Street Classic Series. The Girls Varsity team also fought hard against Latin. Thanks to everyone who showed up to support our Colonels for both games.

On Saturday, Parker’s Chess team played well enough at Sectionals to qualify for the State Championship for the second consecutive season. They will head down to Peoria next weekend.

Parker squash also starts up soon. If you are interested in playing squash for Parker, fill out this form.

This week’s SAC Student-Athlete of the Week is Senior Ben Graines! Graines played excellently in the big Blue Out win against Latin, and followed up those performances with strong scoring outputs against much tougher opponents than Latin in games against St. Viator and Maine West. Parker played very well against these much larger schools, thanks in large part to Graines’ contributions.

The Boys Varsity has a huge league game coming up tonight against Northridge College Prep at 6:30 in the Big Gym. Make sure to come out and support! The JV Boys game is at 5.

Go Colonels!
