Student-Athletes of the Week

Parker’s winter season just got started this week, with Girls Varsity Basketball playing two games earlier this week. Boys Varsity tips off next Monday against Aurora Central Catholic at the Elmwood Park Thanksgiving Tournament.

But don’t sleep on Parker’s only undefeated team in an IHSA sanctioned activity or sport, chess! The chess team has gotten out to a 4-0 start, with wins against Hope Academy, De La Salle, DePaul College Prep and Mt. Carmel. The chess team’s two captains, seniors Shalen Chawla and Jasper Chazen are your SAC Student-Athletes of the Week!

Chazen and Chawla are both 4-0 in play this season! If you are interested in playing chess for the team or just for fun, look out for chess club emails.
