Fifth Graders Welcomed to Fifthenham

Principal Dan Frank formally knighted and welcomed students to the “Kingdom of Fifthenham” as part of this year’s 5th Grade Dubbing Ceremony.

This concluding activity associated with the 5th graders’ study of the Middle Ages featured students proceeding into the Heller Auditorium in the same characters and costumes as in their medieval classroom presentations.

Student voices filled the space with the sounds of music before coming forward in small groups to kneel before Principal Frank in his regal ensemble. Frank spoke each student’s chosen name aloud and dubbed each with his trusty sword, welcoming them to the “Kingdom of Fifthenham” and the excitement that awaits them in Middle School.
