Parker’s youngest students gain confidence and knowledge in the arts through the exploration and practice of different materials and styles in art and contemporary artists who use them.
Recently, abstract artists Viraj Khanna and Robert Blackburn have inspired Lower School art students as they focused on the arts of painting, sewing and printmaking. The result is a beautiful display of their hard work. “The students learned many different techniques and strengthened so many skills in this one project. I love all small thoughtful details and creative problem-solving in each piece,” Visual Arts teacher Anne Blasko shared.
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
