On Thursday, May 15, they will present an exciting music program and discuss the process of bringing diverse voices together to create joyful music.

all are welcome to enjoy a memorable evening of music as the Kontras Quartet shares the stage with our Upper School Orchestra for a joint performance before playing some music of their own and discussing more about their own musical journey.

The Joan W. Harris Visiting Music Scholar in Residence program was established to provide experiences for students to find inspiration, learn, appreciate and understand the transformative power of classical music. Members of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center worked with the school as our inaugural visiting artists in 2017 followed by the Chicago Opera Theater, The Westerlies and Kontras Quartet.
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
