Sophomore Named to National Student Advisory Council

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) recently chose sophomore Miriam Johnson as one of 16 students to serve on its National Student Advisory Council.

“Two students from each of the eight NFHS geographical regions were chosen for the NSAC, all of whom have exhibited outstanding leadership skills, achievements in academics and sports/activities and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities,” the NFHS stated. Johnson represents Section 4—Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin—and is the second student from Illinois to be selected!

Johnson will be responsible for learning about, and sharing insight on, “the different issues that impact students’ involvement in high school activity programs throughout the regions they represent.”

Join Parker in congratulating Johnson on being recognized for her leadership capabilities and her commitment to ensuring a positive experience for athletes across the nation!
